Emerson got to spend a little more time in the grass this week. We had dinner one night at Emerson's Gramma's house (Chad's mom). It was really windy that evening and he would turn to look when the wind would pick up to see where the noise was coming from. This grass was much taller than any grass he has previously played in.
In Emerson's never ending plight to become a big boy he drank from a sippy cup by himself this morning. It was very exciting for us both! He had a little diluted juice in the cup and as you can see from his face in the video he wasn't sure what to think of the taste. He has only had a few tastes of juice up until this point.
While Kari and I were shopping for scrapbooking items at Hobby Lobby this afternoon many of the ladies commented on how adorable Emerson was (no kidding!). One lady came up to me and said that he was the cutest kid she had ever seen and that he should be in commercials! How funny!
Emerson has begun to clap A LOT lately. He apparently has even figured out how to use clapping appropriately, case and point: Before bed tonight Emerson tooted, smiled at me, then clapped furisouly with a sense of pride. Boy, am I in trouble!

Is that what Chad's been teaching him while you're not looking? It sounds like something Gene would do. :)
